Heavy duty, easy operation machine for Hollow Chisel and Chain mortising single components or complete door frames. The head unit is easily interchangeable between the two mortising operations. The head unit approach is pneumatically controlled by the operator by activating a push button - allowing gradual and precision approach to the workpiece for lateral alignment. Once aligned the operator simply presses the approach button and the mortise operation is completed to the preselected depth. The vertical control of the head unit requires no manual effort as with conventional machines - the operator simply sets the approach speed by varying the hydrocheck to the pneumatic cylinder. Vertical head stroke for 2 pass operation can be pre-programmed through two cams mounted on the head unit. Chain and chisel head units are enclosed for safe operation and a compressed air gun is supplied for table cleaning.
Workpiece support on left and right hand tables up to 1300mm to each side of the head unit. Manual clamping as standard with pneumatic clamping optional. When mortising a complete door unit the table swings away and door unit is pneumatically located under two reference stops.
