| NEW COMEC MODEL MD 'Classic 4' CNC DRILLING - MORTISING - MILLING MACHINE |
A heavy duty programmable CNC machining centre capable of milling, shaping. slotting and drilling solid wood, mdf, plastic components etc. The machine frame is of monobloc construction using heavy duty electrowelded steel sheets thus ensuring maximum machining accuracy The machine is very easy to programme through a user friendly interface and touch screen controller. The workpieces are clamped by pneumatic cylinders onto a standard work table benches that can be adjusted along the x axis. The machine can be programmed in a single or twin working fields. All main machine movements on are on precision linear slides, bearings with ball screw drives. For maximum operator safety the machining is totally enclosed at sides and rear with CE safety cabin with access to the loading area via automatic lifting / lowering of front safety screen.

- X axis capacity 2200mm (1000mm plus 1000mm for twin field working). Y axis 200mm, Z axis 150mm.
- Main machining column controlled in 3 axis by CN with linear and circular interpolation. Positioning speed 50/m max.
Vertical electro spindles:
- 1 x electro spindle for milling with 5.6ww motor, rotation through inverter 12,000 to 18,000 rpm. ER32 collet
- 1 x electro spindle for drilling with 1.7kw motor , rotation 2800 rpm. Drilling head with spindles - 4 horizontal at 90 degrees and 1 vertical (For drilling end, face and two edges of component). Drill fixing M10.
Horizontal electro spindles.
- 2 x counter rotating electro spindles for milling each with motor 3.3kw, rotation adjustable through inverter 12,000 to 18,000 rpm. ER32 collet
CAD CAM axis control.
- Industrial PC with 12" colour touch screen operator interface with resident software.
- Ethernet or USB port, multi language, Windows embedded.
- CAD CAM with paths, optimisation, offline programming option, tools and aggregates list, control working lists and teleservice.
Clamping:
- 2 + 2 workpiece holding benches adjustable on linear slides. Complete with pneumatic reference stops, clamps. Manual locking / unlocking and position reference through a scale.
Safety enclosure:
- Around 2 sides, rear. Front pneumatic door opening / closing synchronised with working cycle. Working cycle activated by two hand safety control.
- 2 x extraction points each 100mm
