Panhans Austria the specialist manufacturer of high quality programmable beam saws have developed an extremely versatile machine named the 'S45 All In One' that not only operates like a conventional beam saw but has the added benefit of being able to make a cut at any angle upto 45 degrees.



The machine which can be supplied with a working capacity of 3200mm x 3200mm or 4200mm x 4200mm is equipped with a programmable rear pusher with grippers and front air flotation tables which are standard features on most types of automatic beam saws. What makes the S45 special is the high precision saw carriage that can tilt from 0 - 45 degrees, controlled from the program in the industrial touchscreen PC.

In addition to this the pressure beam has electronically controlled lateral movement meaning it can position itself directly over the area of cut irrespective of straight or angled cutting. This gives optimum clamping pressure on the area of cut thus resulting in a high quality accurate cut edge.
Unlike standard sliding table saws it is possible on the S45 to cut the visible corners (inner or outer corners) in such a way that the blade always enters the material on the visible side. This means that no gap is visible in the mitred joint.

Optionally the machine can also be equipped with the WSA front table automatic angle cutting device that when working in combination with the tilting saw aggregate allows for the possibility of compound angled cuts. We believe that due to the ever increasing requirement for flexibility in manufacturing this machine will appeal to the many furniture and shopfitting manufacturers who require all the versatility of a sliding table saw but coupled with production capabilities and accuracy of a beam saw.

Other machines in the Panhans range include the Euro 5.1 and Eurostar 2. These do not have the tilting facility of the S45 but both can still be equipped with the WSA front table automatic angle cutting device. As customers have come to expect from Panhans, all machines are built to the same exacting standards.

The Euro 5.1 is an extremely compact saw, and its 3200mm x 3200mm configuration takes up little more room that a sliding table saw.

The Eurostar 2 is designed for particularly demanding production requirements and when equipped with the optional XL package can give a cutting height in excess of 100mm. It is also available with maximum working dimensions of 5800mm x 5800mm.

All machines in the Panhans range including the S45 have the facility of making cut outs, rebates or grooves in the panels. They can also be equipped with the optional post forming scoring unit, PIOS professional optimisation software (machine or office based) and label printer.
