A substantially built machine designed for the workshop that may require continuous production of a particular product, but still require the versatility of a machine that is easy to set and operate. This model of machine is fitted with 2 independent sensitive hydraulic copy units that can work from either a template or sample. The first cutter would be set for roughing out, the second one for the finishing cut that will enable a component to be produced in one pass. There is still the possibility to programme a second automatic pass of the finishing gouge for heavy work. The machine is also equipped with hydraulic semi automatic centreing device, hydraulic tailstock unit and manually operated back knives (with optional hydraulic control).

The unique feature of the T5E is saddle movement by precision recirculating ball screw with programmeable electronic control to the feed speed to ensure optimum turning flexibility and quality. This precision feature allows the operator to perfectly control the saddle advance in relation to the complexity of the turning and the optimized saddle speed can then be stored within the memory of the machine. The T5E is available with maximum centre distances of 1600mm
