For the simple, quick and effective application of primer, stains and paints on to timber components. For companies who manufacture outdoor products such as garden furniture, log cabins, sheds, summerhouses, gazebo's, children's play equipment etc, there is generally a requirement at some stage of the manufacturing process to apply a protective primer, stain or decorative paint to either the individual components or the finished structure.

For many this is a time consuming, messy job using a dip tank, manual application by brush or spray gun. These methods of application usually result in an uneven coating of the liquid protection and high levels of waste. To help alleviate these problems specialist manufacturer Sarmax have a range of machines dedicated for this task.

The popular Apache series have a working capacity from 40 x 200mm up to 900 x 300mm meaning even large oak beams can be accommodated. The general method of operation is that the piece is fed in to the machine by driven rollers, with the liquid protection sprayed on in the first compartment. Then thanks to a combination of air blowers and brushing units the liquid is evenly spread on either 2 faces or all 4 faces depending on the model specified.

The excess liquid that has been removed as a result of this process drains through a filter, back in to the tank and is re-used. For cleaning the brushing units are removed in a matter of seconds, while the optional Teflon coating means the internal compartments are easily cleaned with water. To change from one colour stain to another only takes 5 to 10 minutes.
