The Frontal comprises of a step by step feed system that takes the component from the vertical automatic hopper fed loader, though the multiple working stations and enables the machine to optimise each operation, be it vertical / horizontal drilling, or shapining / milling / slotting operations carried out by the router. Thanks to the piece return system this machine is one man operation. On request horizontal dowel insertion units can be fitted. This model of Frontal is ideal for the drilling / machining of bed parts, sofa & chair frame parts, panels etc. Special bespoke machine specifications available on request.

STRUCTURE

  • Frame of electro-welded steel sheet of heavy-duty construction.

LOADING SYSTEM

  • N°1 fix left shoulder and n°1 mobile right shoulder for the loader, clamping cylinders with step-tostep advancement system.
  • Right shoulder adjustable with pneumatic push button to lock/release and digital display.
  • N°1 removable central support with straightener cylinders.
  • Pieces’ advancement system step by step with 2 working stations, complete with locking
    cylinders on each station.
  • Front Vertical automatic loader complete with adjustable storage unit fixed to the shoulders.

 1° WORKING STATION: MULTIPLE DRILLING UNIT

  • N° 1 vertical drilling unit controlled by NC on X. Y and Z axes.
  • Motor kW 1.7. Drills rotation speed 4.350 rpm

Point-to-point drilling head with:

  • n° 11 vertical spindles placed in cross shape, (5 along Y axes and 7 along X axes) at interaxis 32 mm.
  • n° 3 + 3 horizontal-lateral spindles (left-right side) at interaxis 32mm
  • n° 3 + 3 horizontal spindles operator-machine side at interaxis 32 mm.
  • N° 1 vertical milling/mortising unit controlled by NC on X. Y and Z axes.
  • Motor kW 5.6 /12.000-18.000 rpm. Tool holder collet chuck ER32*

2° WORKING STATION: MULTIPLE DRILLING UNIT

  • N° 1 vertical drilling unit controlled by NC on X. Y and Z axes.
  • Motor kW 1.7. Drills rotation speed 4.350 rpm.

Point-to-point drilling head with:

CONTROL UNIT

  • Stand-alone electrical cabinet: placed separately from the machine to its side.
  • Numerical control studied on purpose like control unit of the axes and of the functionalities for multiheads drilling/milling machines.
  • Industrial PC for operator interface with 15” colour touch-screen.
  • SSD: 120 GB - Interface: ethernet/USB/RS232.
  • SOFTWARE Parametric programming assisted by 3D working models.
  • Possibility of Net connection for programming and remote assistance.
  • Remote console to control the machine by the operator during tests and set-up.
  • Multitasking: the control unit can independently control the heads on the 3 axes in order to have
    different workings operations at the same time.

WORKED PIECES RETURN SYSTEM

Worked pieces return system to the operator on the machine side composed of:

  • n°1+1 ejecting motorized belts on back side of machine, motor kW 0.37,
  • n°1 lenghtwise motorized belt sincronized to the machine cycle,
  • n°1+1 manually adjustable idle rollers.
