Comec MD Top XL CNC Machining Centre FAQs

The Comec MD Top is a heavy-duty CNC machining centre designed for high-volume production of large or long components, particularly in industries such as furniture and garden products.

With a working capacity of up to 3300mm, it is ideal for machining items like bed frames, structural timber parts, and packaging components with speed and consistency.

The Comec MD Top is built for continuous, high-efficiency production. One of its key features is twin working fields, allowing operators to load one area while the machine is processing another. This tandem operation eliminates downtime between cycles, ensuring a constant workflow and higher output. In addition, features such as pneumatic clamping systems, simple CNC programming, and fast set-up times help reduce manual intervention and keep production running smoothly.

The Comec MD Top XL is equipped with a multi-spindle working unit, combining several machining tools into a single head to perform multiple operations without the need for tool changes. Typical machinining units and tools include vertical electro-spindles for milling, shaping, mortising and drilling, horizontal electro-spindle for slotting and grooving, multi-spindle drilling group for efficient drilling on different faces of the workpiece, C-axis controlled saw blade for straight or angled cutting, and multi-function aggregate unit for combined operations.
