Saw & Milling Unit
Built to meet the exacting standards of a sawmill while delivering the precision reminiscent of fine joinery, the globally acclaimed TR500 saw unit boasts a remarkable track record of over 400 installations in the UK and has been used in the industry for over half a century. As part of the TR platform, this model stands out with its enduring 7.5kW saw motor - a consistent feature across the Stromab range. With a variable speed cutting cycle, it effortlessly handles softwoods or hardwoods, accommodating dimensions of up to 135mm high or 360mm wide, managed by a single top clamping unit. Taking performance to new heights, the Matrix/F goes beyond expectations by integrating a fully automatic milling unit featuring a 2-point clamping system and an impressive capacity of 100mm x 400mm x 75mm.
Infeed
Combining the industry standard rack and pinion system and Stromab's unique F series milling system, the range is capable of pushing timber up to 14m and up to 90kg - without additional rollers. Featuring a table incline of 8 degrees, automatic lifting pusher system and a positioning accuracy of 0.4mm, the Stromab Matrix/F powers though your repetitive cutting and milling requirements.
Controller
Harnessing the power of an ELCO Top 12 colour touch screen, programming of cutting lists is simple, using the innovative optimisation methods:
BASE with board sequence, max length, or sequence.
OPTI with base features and volume, minimum waste or priority.
DEFECT with complete optimisation, chalk mark detection and timber grading.
By using our office software 'Design2Saw', files can be pre-optimised for the highest yield savings and loaded quickly via USB, reducing operator programming time.
